Para los efectos de la presente ley se entiende por instituciones financieras las entidades sometidas al control y vigilancia de la Superintendencia Bancaria, con excepción de los intermediarios de seguros, a quienes se aplicarán las reglas previstas en los artículos 23, 28, 73, 74 y 75 de ésta ley.
