El Comité Ejercerá Las Siguientes Funciones: 1

Decreto 2429 de 1998 · por medio del cual se crea el Comité Especial de Impulso a las investigaciones de violación de derechos humanos.

°. El Comité ejercerá las siguientes funciones

Impulsar dentro del marco legal y sin obstaculizar la labor de los organismos competentes diligencias y gestiones pertinentes, relacionadas con las investigaciones en materia de derechos humanos.

Realizar una atenta vigilancia y control con relación a estas investigaciones.

Coordinar e impulsar con los funcionarios competentes de cada entidad, el desarrollo de las investigaciones para colaborar armónicamente en la realización de sus fines.

Producir y divulgar reportes públicos trimestralmente sobre los adelantos en las investigaciones, sin atentar contra el principio de la reserva sumarial.
