Cuando se halle ausente de la cabecera del circuito de notaría, el notario en ejercicio de las funciones de su empleo, se dará al secretario del concejo el aviso de que tratan los artículos correspondientes del título 20, libro 1º del Código Civil, quien hará dar la sepultura, si se tratare de una defunción, y tomará los apuntamientos del caso y los pasará al notario a su regreso, para que este asiente la correspondiente partida en el registro respectivo.
