El artículo 2º del Decreto 1054 de 1932 quedará así: Los contratos que el Gobierno celebre para explotar las minas a que se refiere el aparte c) del artículo 4º del Código Fiscal deben comprender un lote de extensión continua, que guarde una relación no inferior a la de uno a tres entre latitud media y su mayor longitud, tomadas perpendicularmente entre si, y cuya extensión máxima será de cinco mil hectáreas.
