El caudal de las aguas que se necesite para el funcionamiento de la planta eléctrica será tomado de la vertiente del Ríofrío, en la vereda del mismo nombre en el Municipio de Zipaquirá y tendrá la capacidad suficiente para prestar el servicio de luz, fuerza y calor a los Municipios de Zipaquirá y Nemocón.
