Para ascender a Coronel o su equivalente en las Fuerzas Militares, en la clase de combatientes y de Intendencia, además de los requisitos anteriormente establecidos, será condición indispensable ser aprobado por la Junta Asesora de Ascensos en la tesis que deberá desarrollar sobre tema militar impuesto por el Estado Mayor General.
