El Director General del Icfes, convocará a una asamblea conjunta de rectores de instituciones tecnológicas, oficiales y privadas, legalmente reconocidas, con el fin de que estas escojan su representante ante el Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior, CESU. El período del representante será de dos años, el cual comenzará a contarse a partir de la fecha de su elección.
