Si un gobernador o alcalde actualmente en funciones, estuviese percibiendo a la entrada en vigencia del presente decreto una asignación salarial mensual superior, continuará devengando dicha asignación y el límite máximo establecido en el presente decreto se aplicará al gobernador o alcalde que se posesione con posterioridad.
