La disponibilidad es la situación administrativa en la que se encuentra un funcionario de la Carrera Diplomática y Consular que se margina transitoriamente y por su propia voluntad, del desempeño de un cargo en el servicio público. La situación de disponibilidad sólo procede a solicitud del interesado.
