Sin perjuicio de lo establecido en el artículo 28 de la Ley 16 de 1990, el Fondo Agropecuario de Garantías, FAG, podrá respaldar créditos agropecuarios redescontados en el Fondo para el Financiamiento del Sector Agropecuario, Finagro, que hayan sido otorgados a productores distintos de los pequeños, que no puedan ofrecer las garantías normalmente requeridas por los intermediarios financieros.
