La Medalla del Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad en el grado de "cumplimiento excepcional del deber" se otorgará a quien además del óptimo desempeño de sus tareas se caracterice excepcionalmente por sus virtudes cívicas y ciudadanas, compañerismo, dedicación al trabajo, lealtad a la Institución, colaboración, interés profesional, elevada moral y espíritu de cuerpo.
