Las organizaciones de los grupos étnicos que al momento de entrar en vigencia la Ley 115 de 1994, venían desarrollando proyectos o programas educativos orientados hacia la educación por niveles y grados, podrán solicitar su reconocimiento como establecimientos educativos de carácter comunitario y como tales deberán ajustarse a las disposiciones de carácter pedagógico, organizativo y administrativo, contenidas en las normas legales y reglamentarias vigentes. El Ministerio de Educación Nacional y las Secretarías de Educación Departamentales y Distritales, prestarán la asesoría necesaria para facilitar el cumplimiento de esta disposición.
