articulo V. Las Repúblicas contratantes establecen la mas amplia libertad de comercio entre sí; en consecuencia, sus ciudadanos podrán entrar i residir con sus naves i cargamentos en los puertos habilitados de las costas i territorios de la otra, i hacer en ellos toda especie de comercio permitido a los naturales. Esceptúase el comercio de cabotaje, cuyo arreglo especial se reservan los Repúblicas contratantes.
