El presente decreto tiene por objeto dictar normas en materia de orden público, publicidad electoral, equilibrio informativo y apoyo a sufragantes con limitaciones físicas, para garantizar el normal desarrollo de las elecciones de Congreso de la República y de las Consultas Internas e Interpartidistas, que se realizarán el 8 de marzo de 2026, así como de las elecciones de Presidente y Vicepresidente de la República (primera vuelta), que se llevarán a cabo el 31 de mayo de 2026.
