ARTICULO 4.2.0.7.1 .- INSPECCION, VIGILANCIA Y REGIMEN DISCIPLINARIO . La inspección, control, vigilancia y régimen disciplinario del Fondo de Garantías de Instituciones Financieras estarán a cargo de la Superintendencia Bancaria. Se ejercerán en lo pertinente, de acuerdo con las facultades que le otorga la ley en lo referente a las instituciones financieras, teniendo en cuenta la naturaleza especial del Fondo. El Banco de la República por conducto de su Auditoría Interna, y sin perjuicio de las funciones que corresponden a la Superintendencia Bancaria, vigilará la correcta aplicación de los recursos del Fondo, el debido mantenimiento y utilización de los bienes del mismo y la observancia de los estatutos.
