En la forma indicada en los artículos anteriores, cuando sea el caso, se nombran intérpretes mayores de catorce años, conocedores del castellano y del idioma de los litigantes o testigos, ode aquel en que se haya escrito el documento que deba traducirse.

En los lugares donde haya intérpretes oficiales se prefieren éstos, y donde no, se nombran dos, a menos que apenas se consiga uno, caso en el cual se hace constar tal circunstancia para la validez de la diligencia.
