Las placas diplomáticas son personales e intransmisibles. En caso de que sin autorización del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores se coloquen en vehículo distinto del que figura en la matrícula respectiva, serán decomisadas y su titular perderá el derecho a usarlas. El dueño del vehículo que porte placas diplomáticas sin tener derecho a ellas, se hará acreedor a una multa de $500.00
