Créase el Departamento del Quindío, formado por el territorio de los Municipios de Armenia, Calarcá, Circasia, Filandia, Génova, la Tebaida, Montenegro, Pijao, Quimbaya y Salento, que hoy forman parte del Departamento de Caldas, con los límites que tienen actualmente los mencionados Municipios.

Parágrafo

La capital del Departamento del Quindío será la ciudad de Armenia.
