Para ascender a Teniente de Fragata, los Tenientes de Corbeta de los Cuerpos Ejecutivo y Logístico de la Armada, deberán adelantar y aprobar un curso, cuya programación académica deberá ser propuesta por el Comando de la Armada y aprobada por el Comando General de las Fuerzas Militares.
