Ingreso y Ascenso. El ingreso y ascenso de los Oficiales de las Fuerzas Militares se dispone por el Gobierno, y el de los Suboficiales por los Comandos de las respectivas Fuerzas, de acuerdo con las normas del presente Estatuto.

Parágrafo

Para ingresar a las Fuerzas Militares como Oficial o Suboficial, es condición ser soltero y colombiano por nacimiento.
