Inversión del patrimonio técnico. El diez por ciento (10%) del Patrimonio Técnico, deberá estar invertido en títulos emitidos o garantizados por el Gobierno Nacional, el Banco de la República o en otros títulos de renta fija de alta seguridad, liquidez y estabilidad, o en inversión en infraestructura de salud. El noventa por ciento (90%) restante, es de libre asignación por las Empresas de Medicina Prepagada. Las inversiones representativas del patrimonio técnico, deberán mantenerse libres de gravámenes, embargos, medidas preventivas o de cualquier otra naturaleza que impidan su libre cesión o transferencia.
