Practicadas las pruebas o vencido el término que tiene el investigado para solicitarlas o aportarlas el funcionario competente proferirá decisión de fondo dentro del término de cuarenta (40) días. En caso de que los investigados sean tres o más, el término se ampliará en quince (15) días más.
