Decreto 996 de 1951 · Por el cual se ordena celebrar la Fiesta del Educador

Artículo primero. Declárase Día Oficial del Educador en Colombia, el día 15 de mayo de cada año, fiesta de San Juan Bautista de la Salle, patrono de todos los maestros y profesores, educadores de la niñez y de la Juventud.

Parágrafo

La celebración de la Fiesta del Maestro se llevará a cabo en los establecimientos de educación el día domingo anterior a la fecha señalada.
