El servicio militar obligatorio en la modalidad de Auxiliar de Policía Bachiller, consagrado en el artículo 13 de la ley 48 de 1993, podrá ser prestado como Auxiliar de Policía de Turismo.
Los Auxiliares de Policía de Turismo prestarán sus servicios en la respectiva Entidad Territorial donde residan, si en ésta hay sitios turísticos, o en caso contrario, en la zona turística más cercana a su residencia.
