El Instituto de Investigaciones Ambientales del Pacífico “John von Neumann”. El Instituto de Investigaciones Ambientales del Pacífico “John von Neumann” creado en el artículo 19 de la Ley 99 de 1993, se organizará como una Corporación Civil sin ánimo de lucro, de carácter público pero sometida a las reglas de derecho privado, organizada en los términos establecidos por la Ley 29 de 1990 y el Decreto 393 de 1991, vinculada al Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible con autonomía administrativa, personería jurídica y patrimonio propio.
