Unidad Administrativa Especial del Sistema de Parques Nacionales Naturales. La Unidad Administrativa Especial del Sistema de Parques Nacionales Naturales -Uaespnn- se reorganiza en los términos del literal j) del artículo 54 de la Ley 489 de 1998, como dependencia de carácter operativo, técnico y ejecutor del Ministerio del Medio Ambiente, con autonomía administrativa y financiera, encargada del manejo y administración del sistema de parques nacionales naturales y de los asuntos que le sean asignados o delegados.
