Artículo octavo. Cuando un elector solicitare nueva cédula por haber perdido la primera, se le expedirá otra mediante el pago de veinte centavos moneda legal. Las sumas que se recauden por este concepto se depositarán en la respectiva Oficina de Hacienda Nacional, y el Jurado Electoral no hará la expedición de la nueva cédula mientras no se acredite que se ha hecho el pago, en la forma que establece este artículo. Cuando en un Municipio no hubiere Recaudación de Hacienda Nacional la consignación se hará ante el Tesorero Municipal, el cual bajo su responsabilidad, la recibirá y enviará a la respectiva Administración de Hacienda Nacional.
