- SOLICITUD DE SANCIONES. Las sanciones de suspensión o destitución serán decretadas, a solicitud de la Procuraduría General de la Nación, por el Presidente de la República si se trata de los Gobernadores o Alcaldes de distrito, y por los Gobernadores cuando se trate de Alcaldes municipales de su respectivo departamento (Ley 104 de 1993, art. 109. Esta ley, conforme a su art. 134, tiene vigencia por dos años a partir de su promulgación, que se efectuó el 30 de diciembre de 1993).
