Normas catastrales. Las labores catastrales de que trata la Ley 14 de 1983 se sujetarán en todo el país a las normas técnicas establecidas por el Instituto Geográfico “Agustín Codazzi”. En cumplimiento de lo anterior el Instituto Geográfico “Agustín Codazzi” ejercerá las labores de vigilancia y asesoría de las demás entidades catastrales del país.
