El Gobierno Nacional, a través de los Ministerios de Ambiente, Vivienda y Desarrollo Territorial, Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural de Educación, y el Departamento Nacional Planeación, en coordinación con los organismos e institutos de investigación y la academia estructurará e iniciará la implementación, en un plazo máximo de dos (2) años, del Plan Nacional de Investigación y transferencia de tecnología Forestal como parte integral del Plan Nacional de Desarrollo Forestal
