Antes de iniciarse el juicio de nulidad del matrimonio, o el de divorcio, o durante él, debe el Juez tomar las medidas preventivas autorizadas por la ley.

Tales providencias se pueden tomar de una vez, o a medida que vayan siendo menester, y el Juez, al hacerlo, ha de tener en cuenta que ellas están consagradas especialmente por la ley para proteger a la mujer.
