ARTICULO 16 . COMPETENCIA DE EVALUACION Y CONTROL. En el ejercicio de la función establecida en el artículo 5o., numeral 16 de la Ley 99 de 1993, el Ministerio del Medio Ambiente podrá ordenar la suspensión de los trabajos o actividades e igualmente solicitar o aplicar directamente las medidas policivas y sancionatorias a que haya lugar.
