La presente ley tiene por objeto dictar medidas para la prevención, atención y erradicación de la ablación o mutilación genital femenina en todo el territorio nacional, con el fin de garantizar la protección de los derechos humanos de las niñas, adolescentes y mujeres en Colombia desde un abordaje integral, diferencial, de género, interseccional, intercultural y comunitario.
