La Asamblea de Partes considerará aquellos asuntos de la OATS que sean de primordial interés para las Partes como Estados soberanos. Tendrá el poder de considerar las políticas generales y los objetivos a largo plazo de la OATS que sean compatibles con los principios, propósitos y alcance de las actividades de la OATS, según se establece en el Acuerdo Constitutivo. La Asamblea de Partes dará la debida y adecuada consideración a las resoluciones, recomendaciones y puntos de vista que le remita la Junta de Signatarios.
