En razón a que esta distinción es un beneficio estudiantil, los rectores de los respectivos establecimientos educativos tienen la obligación de inscribir a todos sus estudiantes de undecimo grado, a los mencionados exámenes, de acuerdo con los procedimientos establecidos por el Servicio Nacional de Pruebas del ICFES.
