La Nación a través del Departamento Administrativo del Deporte, la Recreación, la Actividad Física y Aprovechamiento del Tiempo Libre (Coldeportes) y la Federación Colombiana de Tejo o la entidad que haga sus veces, apoyará las escuelas de formación para la práctica del juego al turmequé (tejo), impulsará campeonatos veredales, municipales, distritales, departamentales y nacionales, además la profesionalización de las personas que representarán a nuestro país en eventos nacionales e internacionales, teniendo en cuenta la Ley 613 del año 2000.
