El Procurador General de la Nación desempeña por sí las funciones especiales que le señale la Constitución; tiene a su cargo la dirección de las oficinas de la Procuraduría, y comparece ante la Corte Suprema de Justicia en los negocios de inexequibilidad de leyes y decretos cuando fueren acusados de inconstitucionalidad, y en todos los demás casos en que así lo determine el Gobierno, de acuerdo con las leyes.
