El Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social, una vez realizado el estudio respectivo, podrá ordenar que se gire el dinero directamente a las IPS de mediana y alta complejidad para el pago de los Servicios de Salud efectivamente prestados y debidamente comprobados, con soportes de atención a la población afiliada al régimen subsidiado, dentro de la vigencia fiscal en que se prestó el servicio.
