Las sucursales de sociedades extranjeras que no deseen acogerse a las disposiciones especiales previstas en los artículos anteriores, deberán informarlo al Banco de la República y quedarán exceptuadas de la aplicación de dichas normas durante un término inmodificable mínimo de 10 años, contados a partir de la fecha de la presentación de la respectiva comunicación. En consecuencia, todas las operaciones de cambio que realicen quedarán sometidas a las normas comunes previstas en el régimen cambiario.
