La Dirección General Marítima otorgará a toda nave o artefacto naval que se inscriba en el registro único colombiano un Certificado de Matrícula provisional o definitivo, según corresponda, en el que conste el nombre de la nave o artefacto naval, el de su armador y/o propietario, el número de registro, el servicio para el cual está autorizado y los arqueos bruto y neto, así como los demás datos contenidos en su inscripción.
