Los Alcaldes y funcionarios de Policía quedan obligados a hacer cumplir los preceptos de la presente Ley, y los que fueren renuentes serán castigados con multas sucesivas de veinte a cincuenta pesos ($20 a $50), que serán impuestas por el Director del Departamento Nacional de Higiene o por los Directores Departamentales de Higiene, quienes podrán pedir al respectivo Gobernador la destitución de los nombrados funcionarios en caso de reincidencia en el desobedecimiento de esta obligación, petición que deberán atender los Gobernadores.
