° . Propósito . El propósito que se persigue al conferir las condecoraciones en las Fuerzas Militares, es el de honrar públicamente a sus integrantes y personal ajeno a ellas, que se destaquen por actos de valor y servicios distinguidos en guerra internacional, estados de excepción, virtudes militares y profesionales de carácter excepcional; consagración al estudio y a la investigación en beneficio de las instituciones militares y en servicios extraordinarios al conjunto de estas o a cualquiera de sus componentes.
