Sin perjuicio de las funciones establecidas para las Unidades de Auditoría y Liquidación, el control y vigilancia de las máquinas de timbre nacional será cumplido por las Secciones de Visitaduría de Recaudo o quienes hagan sus veces en las Administraciones de Impuestos y por la Contraloría General de la República, de acuerdo con los procedimientos internos.
