El menor abandonado se presume menor necesitado. Su asistencia se proporcionará a través de atención institucional o en medio abierto de acuerdo con la determinación aceptada (sic) por el defensor de Menores, ya se trate de abandono físico o moral o de que el menor se encuentre en situación de peligro, de igual naturaleza, conforme la Ley 83 de 1946.
