Los partidos son propietarios del nombre y símbolo que hayan registrado en la Corte Electoral. Dicho nombre y símbolo no podrán ser usados por ninguna otra organización política reconocida o no. Los dirigentes de la organización que violen esta norma serán sancionados con arresto de diez (10) a treinta (30) días y con multa hasta de un millón de pesos ($ 1.000.000.00), que impondrá el Juez Penal Municipal del lugar donde se cometa la infracción.
