Hechos los estudios de que trata el artículo anterior, y el 3. º de la Ley 46 de 1936 (sobre canalización del rio Cesar entre El Banco y Chimichagua), el Gobierno elegirá entre las dos obras la más conveniente para los intereses nacionales y procederá a su ejecución.

Si la obra más conveniente fuere la carretera de que trata este Ley, dicha obra se construirá con fondos de los destinados por la Ley 3. ª de 1936, y de conformidad con lo dispuesto respecto de las que por ella se incorporan en la red nacional de vías de comunicación.
