Los médicos en ejercicio legal de su profesión, que estén domiciliados en lugares en donde no existan farmacéuticos en legal ejercicio de su profesión y en número suficiente para atender a la demandad del público, podrán obtener en el Ministerio de Salud Pública autorización para dirigir la farmacia de su propiedad, de acuerdo con la reglamentación que el Gobierno Nacional dicte al respecto.
