El ejercicio del derecho consignado en un título-valor requiere la exhibición del mismo. Si el título es pagado, deberá ser entregado a quien lo pague, salvo que el pago sea parcial o sólo de los derechos accesorios. En estos supuestos, el tenedor anotará el pago parcial en el título y extenderá por separado el recibo correspondiente. En caso de pago parcial el título conservará su eficacia por la parte no pagada.
