Las palabras y expresiones empleadas en este Estatuto se entenderán en su sentido natural y obvio, según el uso general de las mismas; pero cuando el legislador las haya definido expresamente para ciertas materias, se les dará en estas su significado legal. Para la interpretación del presente Estatuto, las definiciones contenidas en el mismo, serán preferidas a cualesquiera otras que el legislador haya dado.
