- TRASLADO DE CABECERA MUNICIPAL. Las Asambleas Departamentales a iniciativa del Gobernador y previo concepto del organismo departamental de planeación, podrán trasladar las cabeceras de los municipios a otros lugares dentro de los respectivos territorios, cuando graves motivos de calamidad pública así lo aconsejen o cuando esos otros lugares hubieren adquirido mayor importancia demográfica y económica (Ley 136 de 1994, art. 19).
